When you transfer your existing SMSF to Grow, we will need to collect a number of documents from you or the outgoing accountant.

The following is a list of documents we need for all SMSFs that transfer to Grow:

  1. SMSF Trust Deed (and any amendments to the deed);

  2. Trustee Consent and Declaration;

  3. Member Applications;

  4. Investment Strategy;

Where your SMSF has lodged at least one tax return, we also require the following:

  1. Prior year Financial Statements (including Member Statements);

  2. Prior year SMSF Tax Return;

  3. Investment Summary Report as of 30/06/20XX;

  4. Signed Audit Report and Audit Management Letter.

We understand that often not all documents will always be readily available.

The most important document we require is a copy of the SMSF trust deed. Grow can obtain or create replacement documents where necessary.

It is not mandatory to amend or replace your SMSF trust deed when you move the administration of your SMSF to Grow however as part of the onboarding process we will review the quality and suitability of your SMSF trust deed and if necessary recommend an amendment where it has a tangible impact on the operation of your SMSF.
